Who should attend?

This course is designed for people who work in customers premises within a telecommunications environment.

Aim

This course covers the legislation, hazards, risk assessments and safe systems of work involved with working within a customer’s premises installing a range of fibre termination equipment.

Objective

  • Know relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice when working on site.
  • Know how to implement safe site working practices when working to connect fibre cables in or to single
    and multi-occupancy dwellings including buildings.
  •  Know how to carry out installation of customer optical fibre connection to a single and multi-occupancy
    dwelling including buildings.
  • Be able to carry out installation of customer optical fibre connection to a single and multi-occupancy
    dwelling including buildings.

Pre-Requisites

This accreditation is available to anyone over the age of 16 who is capable of reaching the required standard.

Accreditation

Upon Successful completion of the course, candidates will be issued with a Smart Awards Certificate valid for 3 years.
