Who should attend?

This Smart Awards SA002 course is designed for people who work within the external underground telecoms infrastructure.

Aim

To equip candidates with the essential safety skills and awareness of the hazards and potential risks involved when working in underground structures and operational buildings within an operational telecommunications environment.

Objective

• Be able to work safely
• Be able to carry out gas testing safely
• Be able to demonstrate safe methods of testing for lifting covers before working underground
• Know relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice
• Know the hazards of working in underground chambers or structures
• Know how to carry out cover lifting safely

Pre-Requisites

This accreditation is available to anyone over the age of 16 who is capable of reaching the required standard.
