Position: Finance Manager (Part Time)

Industry Training Services (ITS) is one of the largest Health & Safety and industrial training providers in Ireland. We offer a wide range of recognised and accredited training courses across a broad range of sectors including construction, utilities, manufacturing, engineering, telecoms, and housing. Our Northern Ireland office and training centre is situated on a 12-acre site a few miles outside Portadown, close to the M1 Motorway. We also have a presence in Dublin. However, this position will be based at our Portadown HQ.

Our business is mainly focused in Ireland, however we do work with Companies throughout the UK and we are seeking to add talented members to our training team.

Is the Finance Manager role for you?

The Finance Manager is a new role, working alongside our existing Accounts Executive, and you will be responsible for the accurate maintenance of the Sage Accounts 50 system, and will produce monthly profit and loss account and balance sheet for review by management and our external accountant.

We’re also keen to learn from you! If you have suggestions to improve how we deal with our internal processes, we want to hear them. We know that each new person brings their own unique skills, knowledge, and ideas to the team and this excites us. We work hard but we have fun too!

Duties and responsibilities of the Finance Manager

Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company.

Finance & Bookkeeping – cash transactions & banking, accounts payable & receivable, banking & reconciliation, VAT.

Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting to management and stakeholders.

Adhering to financial regulations and legislation.

Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company.

Essential criteria

Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position.

Experienced in the use of Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Excel.

Qualified Accounting Technician or similar.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

Team player who will fit in with our existing team but can work alone using own initiative.

Hours

25 – 30 hrs, Monday to Friday.
