Who should attend the S7 PIA Sub Duct and Cable Installation Course?
This accreditation is for Communication Providers (CP) engineers and contractors working in the Openreach infrastructure including Northern Ireland.
Pre-Requisites:
To be able to attend and complete the S7 PIA Sub Duct and Cable Installation Underground course, you will need to have previously completed and hold the SA002 Underground Safety certificate.
Course Aim:
The S7 PIA Sub Duct and Cable Installation course is for engineers and contractors working on Openreach infrastructure to gain their S7 Sub Duct and Cable Installation certification.
Learning Outcomes:
The accreditation covers the engineering techniques used to deploy cable and Sub Duct up to a maximum diameter of 25mm within the Openreach underground infrastructure safely. It also covers the agreed network quality standards associated with PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) CP (Communication Provider) cable deployment
Training/Assessment Method:
The accreditation consists of a questionnaire and practical assessment.
Duration dependent on experience:
3 days for non experienced engineers – 2 days for experienced engineers
N.B. Price includes kit.
Certification:
Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years.
