S6 PIA Duct Survey course

Who should attend?

The S6 PIA Duct Survey course is for engineers and contractors working on Openreach infrastructure to gain their S006 Duct Survey certification.

Pre-Requisites:

To be able to attend and complete the S006 PIA Duct Survey course, you will need to have previously completed and hold an SA002 Certificate.

Course Aim:

A minimum of 5 Openreach joint boxes and associated ductwork shall be assessed in line with CP Engineering Principles.

Learning Outcomes:

The S6 Duct Survey course covers three modules.

• Module one aims to develop delegates’ knowledge of the Openreach Underground Infrastructure.
• Module two aims to give delegates the skills needed to safely carry out a PIA Duct Survey.
• Module three will have the delegates demonstrate their knowledge of competency required to complete an effective PIA Duct Survey.

Training/Assessment Method:

This module consists of two parts, a questionnaire and a practical session.

Certification:

Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years.
