Q021 (DL1) – Duct laying

Who should attend:

The module target audience are engineers working on the Openreach network including Contract Partners.

Pre-Requisites:

• Mandatory Safety Accreditation: SA006 – Safe Working in Civils
• Mandatory NRSWA Qualification: SWQR Unit LA, Unit O1, Unit O2, Unit O3

Course Aim:

This assessment will test the delegate’s knowledge of installing Duct 54 and 56. The module covers the installation of single way and 2 way duct only.

• Standards
• Clearances from other utility plant
• Roping & testing
• Duct laying
• On-site
• Reinstatement

Accreditation:

Delegates successfully completing the course will be awarded an Openreach approved ITS Certificate detailing Q021 – Duct Laying 1. This accreditation lasts for 3 years.
