Who Should Attend? This course is ideal for managers, supervisors, safety professionals and/or operatives who want to implement safety on excavation sites. Course Aim: To provide the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to assist in the rescue of casualties when working in open excavations. Learning Outcomes: On completion of this course attendees will cover: Legislation – Understanding employer/employee obligations relating to working in excavations and implementing rescue plans. Harness use and inspection. Identification and use of davit arm systems and various types of rescue equipment. Practical exercises – rescue using davit arm systems, fold/roll up stretchers and rescue harnesses.
