This course is well-suited for delegates engaged in excavation work across various settings such as roads, construction sites, parks, and industrial estates, among others.
Prerequisites:
Candidates should bring suitable Personal Protective Equipment such as Safety Boots, Helmet, Gloves, Hi-Vis Coat or Vest and Hearing Protection.
Course Aim:
This training aims to instruct delegates on the proper utilization of standard location equipment for identifying underground services. Additionally, it addresses the recognition of typical services and techniques employed for locating services that are not detectable using the equipment.
Learning Outcomes:
Interpret utility plan drawings and identify symbols and coded information.
Prepare and use location equipment to locate a range of underground services.
Identify the dangers and hazards associated with underground services.
Recognise why some services are more difficult to locate.
Carry out site marking using appropriate methods.
