The CSR training programme is designed for individuals who are required to carry out work or frequently visit construction sites.
Course Aim:
The purpose of the Construction Skills Register (CSR) is to improve health and safety standards and reduce accidents in the construction industry by ensuring that all construction workers undertake regular health and safety training. The registration scheme provides formal recognition of the skills, experience and qualifications attained by those working in the construction industry. This one-day health and safety training course will assess and ascertain your level of competency in your key skill area.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course candidates will be aware of the following:
Health and safety Legislation
Accident reporting, emergency procedures and Fire prevention & control
Accident prevention
Manual handling
Working at heights
Personal protective equipment
Working with hazardous substances
Noise and vibration
Working with electricity, overhead and underground services
Safe use of handheld equipment
Safe use of site vehicles
Excavations and confined spaces
Assessment Method:
A classroom based tutorial course, supplemented with group activity workshops. Written multi-choice question paper to ensure learning and understanding.
Accreditation:
Candidates will receive a photographic identity card that provides proof of their training.
CSR is a Northern Ireland Scheme, affiliated with CSCS and equivalent to FAS Safe Pass.
