Who Should Attend?

Any worker who needs to work in low risk confined spaces as part of their role.

Course Aim:

The aim of this unit is to reflect the national occupational standard for a low risk related confined space environment. This unit covers both water and non-water industry areas.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course candidates will be assessed on their ability to:

2. Enter and Exit Low Risk Confined Spaces Safely
3. Use Equipment and Tools Safely
4. Follow Working Procedures and Work Safely
5. Deal with Emergencies
6. Understand the principles of working in low risk confined spaces.
7. Understand Standard Protocols for Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces

Training Method:

Classroom based learning, practical demonstrations, and practical participation.

Assessment Method:

Practical observation, short answer question paper.

Accreditation:

Successful candidates will be awarded with a City & Guilds certificate which is valid for 3 years.
