Who Should Attend
This training will benefit managers and others who are responsible for conducting or reviewing risk assessments and implementing identified control measures for all activities in their workplace.
Aim
The Risk Assessment course is designed to give delegates a comprehensive understanding of the principles of risk assessment in accordance with legislative requirements and working practice.
Objective
By the end of the course candidates will be aware of the following:
- Current Legislation
- Understanding the Roles of the Driver and Banksman.
- Understanding the Key Issues arising out of Reversing and Maneuvering Vehicles.
- Identify Danger Areas when Maneuvering Vehicles.
- Demonstrate recommended signals
Training Methods
The course consists of a structure of theory lessons, practical demonstrations and exercises.
Demonstrations include practical techniques and hand signals to assist in manoeuvres.

This course is designed to provide information and practice to help employees and employers meet their legal requirements and reduce the risk of expensive accidents when carrying out reversing manoeuvres in the workplace.
On completion of the course you will understand the statutory requirements and the need for safety training. The course covers workplace safety, risk assessment and minimisation, hazard identification and elimination, selection and use of personal protection equipment, approved signalling procedures for vehicle maneuvering
