Who should attend?

This accreditation for this S8 PIA Overhead Cable Installation is for Communication Providers (CP) engineers and contractors working in the Openreach infrastructure including Northern Ireland.

Aim

The PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) S008 PIA Overhead Cable Installation course is for engineers and contractors working on Openreach infrastructure to gain their S008 PIA Overhead Cable Installation certification.

Objectives

The accreditation covers the engineering techniques used to deploy drop cable up to a maximum diameter of 7mm within the Openreach Overhead infrastructure safely. It covers the agreed network quality standards associated with PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) CP (Communication Provider) cable deployment.

Pre-Requisites

To be able to attend and complete the S008 PIA Overhead Cable Installation course, you will need to have previously completed and hold the SA001 Overhead Safety certificate.
