CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme – 1 day refresher

Who should attend?

If you have already passed the 2 day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme, this course is for you.  The SSSTS Refresher course is an excellent way to refresh your existing health and safety knowledge, as well as keeping you up to date with any changes in the law and how they may impact where you work.

Pre-Requisites:

• A valid SSSTS Certificate from the 2-day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme.
• The certificate must not have expired before attending the refresher course.
• Participants must bring photographic ID to the course.

Course Aim:

This 1-day CITB SSSTS Refresher Course is intended for those who currently hold the Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme certificate and now need to update their skills and knowledge in line with current legislation and maintain their SSSTS qualification.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the SSSTS Refresher course, you understand:

• How health and safety law is structured.
• How the supervisory role fits in with the manager’s role in controlling the site safely.
• The need for method statements.
• Construction Site Health, Safety and Welfare.
• Communication routes within site activity.
• Behavioural safety.
• Supervision of occupational health.

Assessment Method:

The Site Supervisor Safety Training Refresher will take one day to complete and will conclude with a multiple-choice question paper.

Accreditation:

Upon successful completion of the course and examination, candidates will receive a CITB Renewable 5-year Site Safety Plus certificate.

N.B. You must renew this qualification every five years by attending the SSSTS Refresher course. You need to do this before your certificate expires or you will need to take the full SSSTS course again.
