Who should attend?

This qualification is aimed at those asked to perform the task of installing cables over low voltage overhead power crossings and those who may have to install cables through trees.

Course Aim:

The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with the necessary information to install telecommunications cables over low voltage power crossings and through trees. The Cable Installation Over LV Power Crossings qualification and cabling through trees:

Learning Outcomes:

• Know relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice when installing and recovering telecommunications cables crossing above low voltage power lines.
• Be able to carry out safe use of equipment and methods for installing telecommunication cables crossing above low voltage power lines.
• Be able to work safely when installing or recovering telecommunications cables crossing above low voltage power lines.
• Know the emergency and reporting procedures in case of emergency or failure.
• Know how to carry out safe installation and recovery of telecommunication cables crossing through trees.

Upon Successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a Smart Awards Certificate valid for 3 years.
