Who should attend:
SOLAS Safe Pass course is designed to educate construction workers on the correct health and safety practices when working on construction sites. It is aimed at all levels of employees in the construction sector, including apprentices, visitors, delivery drivers, trainees and on-site security workers.
N.B. – Candidates should arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the scheduled course start time. Candidates are also required to be 16+, hold a NI or PPS number, have a passport photo with them and bring photographic ID.
Course Aim:
The aim of the programme is to improve your knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards and practices in the construction industry.
Learning Outcomes:
During the day, you’ll cover the following learning units:

- Site Accident Reporting
- Introduction to Risk Assessment
- Risk Assessment for Electricity
- Risk Assessment for Excavations
- Risk Assessment for Heights
- Behaviour-Based Safety
- Site Safety and Construction Equipment
- Site Safety and Construction Vehicles
- Personal Health and Welfare
- Noise and Vibration
- Personal Protective Equipment
Certification:
Safe Pass Registration Cards are issued for four years after which time the card holder must attend a Safe Pass course to update their safety awareness training. A new Safe Pass Registration Card will be issued on successful completion of the training course.
