Who Should Attend? This City and Guilds Level 3 (6160-03) Confined Space unit is for anyone who works as part of a rescue and recovery team in confined spaces. Course Aim: Reflect the national occupational standard for working as a rescue and recovery team member in confined spaces. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the course candidates will be assessed on their ability to: Oversee safety checks of the entry and rescue teams prior to commencing work activities. Enter and exit confined spaces safely as part of a rescue and recovery team. Use equipment and tools safely. Follow procedures and work safely as a member of a rescue and recovery team. Understand the principles of working as part of a rescue and recovery team. Understand standard protocols for working in rescue and recovery teams
Training Method: Presentations, classroom work, practical sessions and scenarios. Assessment Method: Practical observation, short answer question paper. Accreditation: Successful candidates will be awarded with a City & Guilds certificate which is valid for 3 years.
